Shuteen Erdenebaatar Rising Sun. Zohar & Adam. 47th Leverkusen Jazz Festival.
Shuteen Erdenebaatar: Rising Sun
In her quartet programme ‘Rising Sun’, pianist and composer Shuteen Erdenebaatar blends influences from classical music, Mongolian tradition and modern jazz. Her compositions are characterised by melodic clarity, complex harmonies and rhythmic complexity.
Following her debut album “Rising Sun”, which garnered international attention, she quickly established herself as one of the defining voices of the next generation of European jazz. Concert performances have taken her to numerous international stages and festivals.
Her quartet brings together young, distinguished musicians: Nils Kugelmann (bass), Jakob Manz (alto saxophone, recorder) and Amir Bresler (drums). Together, they develop a distinctive ensemble sound that balances the intensity of chamber music with the openness of improvisation.
Zohar & Adam
The duo ‘Zohar & Adam’. In their project ‘Osmosis’, the brothers blend elements of jazz, Latin, hip-hop and world music. Their interplay is characterised by technical precision, rhythmic complexity and close musical interaction.
The duo, comprising Zohar Cabo (keyboards) and Adam Cabo (drums), embodies a cross-generational approach to jazz, blending traditional influences with contemporary soundscapes.
